The history behind Undone Dreams

Undone Dreams is a new bespoke brand created by Katie Hern when she started designing one-off accessories reworked from antique textiles.

Launched in the Summer of 2015, this online store will showcase unique capsule collections, premiering with a range of vintage collar necklaces. Each piece is individual and handmade and will be available exclusively online at Undone Dreams.

Through the website you can also access a Styling Blog, which will feature ways to wear the collars and keep you updated with Undone Dreams news and upcoming collections.

About the Designer

Katie Hern studied Fashion Design with European Studies at the University for the Creative Arts in Kent. She also trained in Fashion College in Paris and continues to gain inspiration from the chic simplicity and elegance of Parisian style as well as from vintage fashion.

After graduating in 2007, Katie worked for British label ‘The House of Reem’, designing and creating showpieces for both London and Tokyo fashion weeks and was heavily involved in the model casting and styling of the shows.

Katie gained experience with Ben de Lisi and Fashion Fringe winners Aminaka Wilmont before working for British Vogue where she assisted on high profile photo shoots with world renowned models, photographers and stylists.

On returning to her hometown of Swansea, Katie set up her own studio and shop ‘Undone’ in the Autumn of 2013. Katie has carefully sourced a beautiful selection of vintage clothing and accessories which sit alongside her own creations. She has gained recognition for her ethereal, vintage inspired designs and has been commissioned for her one-off pieces as well as building a reputation as a bespoke bridalwear designer.

It is in her ‘Undone’ studio where the idea of Undone Dreams was born. Allowing Katie to pursue her love of design and styling, Undone Dreams is Katie’s way to showcase her creativity and through the launch of this website, allows her to reach a wider audience and clietele.
